Description
Leader pins is a guide element used with components in the mold to
ensure that the mold moves with precise positioning and guides the
mold travel. It is usually cylindrical with shoulder and have some
oil grooves.The tail is designed as a conical surface to ensure it
accurately enters the guide bushings.

The material of guide pins usually uses bearing steel, die steel
and so on. The bearing steel GCr15 material is a high carbon
chromium bearing steel ,that has been quenched and hardened to have
high hardness, uniformity and wear resistance. Due to its ability
to harden to HRC60 and high carbon wear resistance, it is the most
widely used bearing steel. It is suitable for all kinds of bearing
rings and rolling elements. It is also used to manufacture die and
measuring tools, including guide pins and ejector pins of various
